What you'll see
When your trial ends, your subscription runs out, or a failed payment isn't fixed in time (see below), CrewRoo becomes view-only (read-only) — you're not locked out. A red banner across the top says your trial or subscription has ended (or your last payment failed) and "Your data is view and download only.", with a Subscribe link (Fix Payment if a payment failed).
A subscription whose renewal date has passed without a renewal counts as ended too: Profile → Subscription shows it as Canceled with a Subscribe button.
What still works
- Open your Dashboard, Trips, Receipts, Invoices, Expense Reports, and Clients list, and any trip, receipt, invoice, or expense report in them.
- Download PDF on an invoice, and view or open a receipt image.
- Profile, Support, and this Help Center stay fully available.
What needs a subscription
Anything that adds or changes data: new trips, expense reports, invoices, and clients; scanning or uploading receipts; editing or deleting anything; sending, resending, marking sent or paid, and revising invoices; and approving or rejecting receipts. Those buttons are hidden while the app is view-only. Opening one of those screens directly shows a subscribe screen instead, reminding you that everything is still there to view and download:
- Your Free Trial Has Ended
- Subscription Canceled
- Payment Past Due
- No Active Subscription
Your data is safe
Nothing is deleted. Your trips, receipts, invoices, and clients are all there, and fully editable again as soon as you subscribe.
Get back in
- Tap Subscribe in the banner, or Subscribe Now on a subscribe screen. See Subscribe to CrewRoo Pro.
- Payment failed? Tap Update Payment Method (web), Update Payment in App Store (iPhone subscription), or Update Payment in Google Play (Android subscription) and fix the card.
- Subscribed in the iPhone or Android app and still view-only? Tap Restore Purchases — on the Subscription card in Profile, or on the Subscription page the banner opens. It reconnects your Apple or Google Play subscription and unlocks the account. See Restore an app store purchase.
When a renewal payment fails
You don't lose access right away:
- Card (web): you keep full access for 7 days from the renewal that failed.
- Apple or Google Play: you keep access for the store's billing grace period, or 7 days, whichever is longer.
During that time a banner says: "Your last payment failed. Update your payment method before your account becomes view-only." Tap Fix Payment to update it. If it isn't fixed by then, the app turns view-only until it is.
Sending invoices
Sending an invoice needs an active trial or subscription. While view-only you'll see "Your subscription is not active. Subscribe to keep sending invoices." You can still download the PDF and send it yourself.
Still view-only after subscribing? Contact Support from Support in the menu. See Contact support.
